I thought that it was pretty good for a game made in only two days. Short, but it was fun, the controls were a little stiff and unresponsive at times, but otherwise not a bad game. It could stand for some improvement, there was a lot of frame lag it seemed, and the control issues, but again, not bad.
This game is hard. That's the plain and simple of it. But it's a nice challenge at least. Though I don't like how Phanto can hide behind objects, like the ship the Koopa Kids are hiding on, that's really a dick move, when you can't see where he's coming from for a bit. I spent like an hour on Wendy alone from how annoying it was, and NO, I couldn't just leave the key behind. It's a good game though, the music is really good, I haven't even gotten to other characters and the like, but it is a very well made game from all I have played.
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
This game is interesting. It's basically like Monster Rancher, though with a smaller roster for player monsters. It's a good concept, though it's got quite a few flaws. The game seems buggy in that I've had an enemy suddenly regain HP when they were near death, becoming almost completely full and his HP totals kept randomly changing throughout the battle. And there is an encounter with the annoying pink birds that is almost unwinnable from the birds constantly dodging and able to heal more than half of their own HP in one fell swoop, over and over and over. It's very vexing. Also, there are a ton of spelling errors. But aside from all of my gripes, this is not a bad game, just... needing a bit more polish to it.
It's kind of embarrassing...
When you're fully evolved Rufus or playing as Dad and you still die by getting kicked in the face. But, that's part of the challenge and while I haven't unlocked everything, I have thoroughly enjoyed this game, it does have an addictive quality that your games seem to have and even though it is challenging, it is still fun.
More than expected
I have to admit, I was a little hesitant at first, but this is actually a very enjoyable game, who knew that pokemon and tower defense would jive so well?
I see what you did there
The game is pretty short sweet and to the point, just avoid things or smash through them, simple concept but pretty fun in the end. I also like the little Sonic the Hedgehog reference at the end of the Story Mode.
This game is pretty fun, make the path the characters go, they fight monsters and you get cash. Sort of like a tower defense game, except you are the one sending the adventurers out to attack the monsters instead of waiting for them to come and attack you. The random layout can be a bit annoying, especially when there are tons of traps you cannot remove, but I suppose that's part of the challenge. If you're thinking sequel, perhaps upgrading the characters a bit more in-depth next time around and the a bit more classes. And perhaps for a bit more challenge, class specific equipment? Otherwise though, it was a lot of fun, enjoyed the little ending at the end. Too bad there aren't any medals for this, I got the platinum score when I finished at 23 days. ^_^
This is so awesome, the game has a lot of good points to it. This game is a simplified version of an RPG basically, all you pick are weapons, body armor and headgear, and spend points on skills and have small quests, but the game is very deep and fun, the combat is simple, but it has a bit of challenge to it, the enemies are creative and the quips from the npc's and characters are very funny. The music is nice and doesn't get annoying and I haven't found any bugs myself. Overall, it's great, I've played the other two, but this one is great and my favorite of the series. I like all the little references here and there as well. Keep up the good work, hope to see more like this possibly.
